I have been fortunate to coach several of Jill’s students in High School and Travel. Jill teaches proper mechanics and illustrates the finer points in becoming a successful pitcher. Jill pushes her students and truly understands what it takes to get her clients to the next level. There is no other pitching coach in our area that I would recommend to my players.

I’ve been pitching for Jill since I was nine years old and she has made me the pitcher that I am today. Starting off I knew Jill was going to forever and always be my pitching coach because we just had this bond. Jill knows proper pitching mechanics like the back of her hand and she could make anyone good as long as they worked hard. I’ve pitched through some pretty tough games and I always had Jill going through my head telling what to do. I pitched my way to the 10u Metro Championship and pitched both the championship games and came out on top… Without the push and drive that Jill nailed into my brain I probably would’ve gave up. Then when I was 11 Jill started to have some more fun with me and teach me some new things, that year my team won the 11u World Series. If you ever watch Jill coach her girls you’ll notice that each pitching lesson is different, she cares about your success and will always try to make you better. And that’s exactly what she did for me, she pushed me as far as I could go and when I wanted to give up she wouldn’t let me. And now I recently verbally committed to my dream college, University of Wisconsin-Madison. Without the help of Jill Waldron that dream would have never came true.

“My daughter Megan Mahaffy has loved the game of softball ever since she asked to practice pitching in the upstairs hallway like the girls did on her sisters team. It was her first arm circle when she was 5. The best move we ever made was coming to the Wasco Diamonds when Megan was 11. This is where she remains today as part of one of the premier programs in the country. It was also where she began working with Jill Waldron, her pitching coach. Jill has been the technical and motivational coach that Megan needed to work towards her goal of being the best she can be and a Division 1 college pitcher. Coach Waldron has always pushed Megan to be her best. She works hard at each and every practice because of Coach Waldron. Jill has been able to see the little things that has enabled Megan to be a pitcher and not just a thrower. She has helped Megan become a student of the game who analyzes her performance and the performance of other pitchers so that she will know what to do in each game situation. Megan’s dream has become a reality. As a sophomore, she verbally committed to Division 1 Bradley University of the Missouri Valley Conference to pitch and hit for the Bradley Braves. She owes her ability to be selected at the Division 1 level as a pitcher to Coach Waldron.
Thanks Coach Jill!!

Coach Jill is dedicated to all of her players. As for me she has been my pitching coach for six years and has helped me progress throughout the years. When I first started pitching with her she was very patient with me. She has taught me how to become a stronger and smarter pitcher. All the years I have been her student she has been a major influence in my life. Being motivated by her encourages me to become an even better player. I couldn’t have achieved one of my larger goals with out her, being named most outstanding pitcher in the USSSA 13U World Series National. I have learned how to hit my spots, and learned many new pitches. Still going to Coach Jill I am learning new things about my mechanics, breaking them down to become more accurate and faster. Whoever chooses her as a pitching coach is choosing the best!

The miracles that Jill has worked with my fundamentals are abundant. However, the most valuable thing I have gained from her is a mentality. I improved my physical abilities because I not only worked on my fundamentals but gained self-confidence. She stressed the importance of the mental game, she taught me that someone could have all the athletic talent in the world but without confidence and determination would be nothing. She allowed me to embrace the abilities I have and break down the mental barriers in my way. Throughout the three years I have attended Jill I have become confident in my abilities and carry the belief that I can do anything with hard work and determination.
This mentality is the foundation of my success. With Jill’s motivation and high expectations I was able to lead Bartlett to place second in state my senior year. The hours of hard work and mental preparation with her paid off. She was not only my coach but also one of my biggest fans. She had been there to give me much needed advice and words of wisdom when I needed them the most. With Jill’s help I have been able to live many of my dreams. I have been able to experience pitching in the championship game down state and now I am successfully playing collegiate softball. I have learned so much from Jill and will continue to, she has and always will be a huge contributing aspect of my success as a softball player.
